Ellen Tefanis
Ellen is a guitarist, singer and songwriter who grew up in Port Pirie, SA. Ellen showed a passion from a young age being mentored and inspired by her father. At a young age she was guided by local musicians who took her under her wing and guided her through the covers and original music scenes. When Ellen came into her teens, she then had the opportunity of playing in various Port Pirie and Adelaide cover bands, playing almost every weekend.
In 2014 Reece Mastin discovered her talent on guitar and personally invited her to perform 'Good Time' at one of his shows. Two years later Keith Urban stumbled across a video of Ellen playing guitar on twitter and personally invited her to perform at the last show of his Ripcord world tour. After this Ellen received worldwide widespread of news articles and interview's, including a video article on YouTube by Taste of Country, which has over seven million views and was invited on Sunrise alongside Keith Urban.
Ellen in 2018 had the opportunity to visit Nashville and Los Angeles. While there she performed at one of Nashville's biggest honky tonk's and was invited to be featured at Norman's Rare Guitars which is in California. A couple years later Ellen was invited by her endorsement companies to attend Winter NAMM, attend the She Rocks Awards which are both located in Anaheim where while attending NAMM she was featured on KTLA TV show. Ellen is currently endorsed by Ernie Ball Music Man, Orange Amplifiers, Fender Australia, GHS Strings, Chicken Picks, Pedal Pods and The Guitar Strap Co.
After returning from the USA Ellen choose to focus more directly on her original music with songwriter based in South Australia, while also beginning the song writing journey herself. Shortly after returning she was invited by Global Citizen to jam with Delta Goodrem and in the meeting, Delta quoted that Ellen is "so talented" and she was "blown away" by her musical skills. Shortly after Ellen was able to chat with Australian rocker Orianthi through a limited Masterclass who gave inside tips on the music industry.
In 2021 Ellen finally released her debut single titled 'More Than a Hat' which premiered the music video on CMT TV. Through the release of the single Ellen was able to be featured on many radio stations all over the country, this including Beccy Cole's radio show and KIX Country. Ellen's second single 'Don't Fall In Love' was released on the 31st of March 2023.
